This is one of five new works that Freegums made specifically for the Twyla x i am OTHER collection. The colorful background, with its ziggurats, mounds, and stair shapes, was inspired by landscapes viewed from the sky. Freegums has populated this fictional world with figures cut out from fashion magazines. The piece, which has a pattern that could work as a tile or wallpaper pattern, shows the artist’s interest in creating a sense of expansion off the page and infinite space.
